A quick selection of recent electronic releases we’ve been spending time with, spanning albums, EPs, and singles from across the genre.

Brecon – Angular

EP (via With Bells Records) || 27 March 2026 || Ambient-Electronic, IDM, Downtempo || United Kingdom

Really slick track. Warm piano, angular rhythms, and soaring synths all come together really well, giving it an airy feel while still keeping it moving.

Tipper – Cloaked

Album || 20 February 2026 || Glitch Hop, Downtempo Bass || United Kingdom

One of the best atmospheric glitch-hop albums I’ve heard in a while. There is plenty of detail in the sound design, but it still feels fluid and easy to sink into.

Art School Girlfriend – Lean In

Album (via Fiction Records) || 11 March 2026 || Art Pop, Synthpop, Trip Hop || United Kingdom

Well worth a listen if you are into atmospheric, synth-led electronic pop with a late-night, inward-looking feel.

KOAN Sound – Colour Dance

Single (via Shoshin) || 8 April 2026 || Ambient-Electronic, Electro-Neoclassical, IDM || United Kingdom

This really lives up to its name. Super smooth, with modern electronic production, airy atmosphere, and just enough IDM detail to keep things interesting.

Playlist Companion: Electro-Neoclassical

Taroug – Chott

Album (via Denovali Records) || 27 March 2026 || Ambient-Electronic, World Fusion, Trip Hop || Germany, Tunisia

A distinctive organic electronica album with a strong identity, shaped by Tunisian landscape and a fusion of traditional instrumentation and contemporary electronic textures.

Playlist Companion: Dark / Moody Trip Hop

Gryr – Sand

Single || 20 March 2026 || Ambient-Electronic, Deep House || Sweden

A superb middle ground between hypnotic house pulse and drifting, atmospheric layers.

Playlist Companion: Instrumental House [Deep & Atmospheric]

Fold – Shut Down

Single || 6 March 2026 || Trip Hop || United Kingdom

I’ve always had a soft spot for spoken word in ambient and electronic music, so this clicked with me straight away. The instrumental side, with its moody, ominous hip-hop/trip-hop backdrop, is just as strong.

Playlist Companion: Dark / Moody Trip Hop
